Drawing and Painting - All Levels

This wonderful workshop is an original take on a classic and enjoyable practice.

Students of all levels will be invited to work with a variety of traditional and new mediums as their own pace with the enthusiastic help of an experienced teacher. Beginner students will discover new as well as traditional uses for drawing mediums and painting.

Explanations and demonstrations for each new technique will be given by the teacher. New techniques will be introduced to students at regular intervals. Once a student has developed enough confidence with basic techniques and approaches, new ways of working will be encouraged. Individual guidance will follow for the rest of the course after each introduction.

In this course, students will learn´┐Ż

  • how to match and mix colour
  • the difference and applications of drawing mediums (pastels, chalk, graphite, etc.) and how to use them in new versatile ways.
  • how to represent volume, proportions, lines and texture
  • how to work with compositions (still life or landscape)
  • how to do a self-portrait
  • how to build a better understanding of anatomy and movement, as well as techniques of representations of the human figure.
  • how to start their own project under the supervision of a encouraging and attentive teacher

All of the above subjects will be applied to practical yet fun exercises for the participants.

This workshop is open to all levels and offers the guarantee of having learned something new and exiting by the end of each session.
